After a drag race between Razgatlioglu and Rea in the first corner, it was the Yamaha rider who braked last while Scott Redding managed to separate the two favorites for the title.
Rea was not, however, long behind Redding as he regained second place at the fourth corner.
Poleman Tom Sykes was out of the race on the first lap when his team-mate Michael Van Der Mark crashed into the Briton.
In the third round, Rea tried two moves to take the lead, but Razgatlioglu immediately reacted to stay in the lead.
A red flag then came out in the third round when Lucas Mahias and Chaz Davies fell. Davies was hit hardest by the incident as Mahias returned to the pit lane.
The Ducati rider was seen lying on a stretcher, but was able to raise his hand and show that he was conscious.
When the race started for the second time, Razgatlioglu started from pole position in what was a revised 5-lap sprint.
Razgatlioglu and Rea made contact from the start before exchanging first place twice in the first lap.
Rea then got the better of Razgatlioglu at the ninth corner, which allowed Alvaro Bautista and Alex Lowes to pass.
However, Razgatlioglu immediately regained the advantage over Lowes at turn ten. Lowes ran a bit wide in the process, which opened the door for Andrea Locatelli.
But as Locatelli positioned himself inside, the racing lines of the two drivers crossed, leading to Locatelli hitting Lowes’ back and crashing down.
Redding had to take evasive action and was relegated to last place. Before. Razgatlioglu came back ahead of Bautista before setting new lap records in the final two laps to get closer to Rea.
But the Yamaha man couldn’t pass as they finished 1-2. Bautista, who was passed by Lowes, managed to regain third place on the last lap.
