This is what makes the Ferrari FXX K Evo so impressive

The Ferrari LaFerrari is one of the most iconic and technologically advanced hypercars. It was the first prancing horse to deploy hybrid technology in road offerings. Ferrari’s successor Enzo is still considered the epitome of Ferrari performance. Now imagine making it even better. Sounds crazy and impossible, doesn’t it. But Ferrari has done just that with its cool FXX program. They took the LaFerrari and dialed it up to 11 with the Ferrari FXX-K.
It received an aggressive aerodynamic overhaul and a generous performance increase from 949 hp to 1,036 hp. But guess what, it wasn’t enough! Ferrari has pushed the threshold even further. And that’s how the Godly FXX-K Evo was born. This is the car that transcends all the craziness in terms of aero magic and is purely designed for the tracks. The FXX range of hardcore track cars is offered only through Ferrari’s “Corso Clienti” program and that’s how we discovered the older FXX models based on the Enzo (called Enzo FXX) and the Ferrari 599 (called 599XX ) .
The interior also got a serious F1-level overhaul, with just the bits needed to keep this crazy machine from taking off. Ferrari hasn’t confirmed how many of these Evos were made, but we’re sure they’ll fit in your hands. If we had to sum up the Ferrari FXX-K Evo, then it would be a Ferrari LaFerrari that got addicted to nirvana, but not the peaceful kind!
The Ferrari FXX-K Evo is a LaFerrari turned Super Saiyan!
Ferrari FXX-K Evo is all about aerodynamic overdose
The FXX-K had already impressed us with the impressive aerodynamic updates. And just when we thought a car couldn’t get any more stuck to the tarmac, Ferrari offers the Evo pack. And that increases the downforce even more. No need for advertising to know that the FXX-K Evo can be driven upside down! The Evo package incorporates updates using knowledge from all the racing series in which Ferrari participates, including Formula 1, GTE, GT3 and Challenge.
The Evo package adds 23% more downforce than the FXX-K; that’s about 75% more downforce than the LaFerrari. All of this is achieved by using clever body panels to direct air and create vortices. The rear fins have been replaced with a massive rear fixed wing that works in tandem with the active rear spoiler. It gets a new shark fin like those LMP race cars. It works with vortex generators that redirect air to the rear wing and provide 10% more downforce.
To cope with the increased aspiration at the rear, Ferrari also had to revamp the front aerodynamic elements. The bumper has been reshaped and new intakes have been added with aggressive vertical vanes and stretcher flaps for an equal 10% downforce bump. And the vortex generators we talked about are hidden under this crazy machine, which increased the ground effect.
“Evo” adds more rigor to the driving dynamics
All the extra downforce will be of no use if Ferrari has not beefed up the suspension setup and braking. To cope with the added pressure, the suspension was recalibrated to be stiffer. In addition, new cooling intakes have been made so that the brakes work optimally at all times. To give you an idea of the force absorbed by the suspension, at 124 mph the FXX K Evo has 1,410 pounds of downforce, and it jumps to 1,830 when it screams at the redline. Despite all the additions, Ferrari still manages to shed weight, which further improves driving characteristics, especially when cornering.
FXX-K Evo interior gets more F1-derived treatments
Ferrari also gave the FXX-K Evo a real Formula 1 makeover, the major change being its F1-style steering wheel. All of the car’s vital controls were stacked on the steering wheel, and it also featured integrated paddle shifters and KERS Manettino. It also has a larger rear camera display screen at 6.5 inches which also displays all telemetry data. The software has also been updated to present track race data and performance metrics in a more streamlined format.
A total of 1035 “civilized” horses to boo on the tracks
Ferrari hasn’t changed anything on the powertrain front. Frankly, they didn’t need it. The FXX-K Evo featured the same naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine in conjunction with a mild-hybrid KERS setup. The total figure was 1,036 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels via an F1-spec seven-speed DCT gearbox. The weight loss slightly increased his power-to-weight ratio. Although no exact numbers were given, the FXX K Evo weighed less than 2,700 pounds. But the Evo spec version still did 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds.
A Hooliganism Ship You Can’t Bring Home
The LaFerrari-based FXX-K Evo is still Maralleno’s ultimate driving machine. Ferrari continues to use these hardcore race track toys as a testbed for all of its future tech bits in road cars. And a few very lucky Ferrari owners and enthusiasts have the privilege of driving these machines.
These can be purchased by, you cannot take them home! On the other hand, Ferrari will fly over the car and a team of dedicated technicians to help you enjoy those track days anywhere in the world. As for the price, if it is useless to talk about it, the Ferrari FXX-K Evo would have been sold for nearly 4 million dollars each!
