The third edition of the Peace Auto Fest returns for two days of automotive culture | Energeticcity.ca
An event took place on July 11 in Taylor, and Senft says that only created more buzz for the two-day event in late August.
Autocross competition will be divided into different car classes like street, competition and beginner.
“There are actually a lot of people coming out lately because they’re kids; they don’t have that much experience. It is really good practice off the road for people.
For those wondering, Senft has all the necessary permits.
“We get our license to [the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure] because it’s a chain area, and it’s not anything in the summer, so they actually allow us to be able to use that area.
Unless you are the actual licensee, Senft manages most of the operations herself.
“I do marketing, advertising, posters, event planning and fundraising. So I do pretty much everything except that I don’t have the license.
Senft admits that she is not an expert on audio systems, so she enlisted the help of experts at Basshead Lifestyle in Western Canada to judge the competition as she plans to host events simultaneously. .
“I don’t know anything about sound competitions, but it’s just something more that has been added. What I was thinking is that this year we have the drift competition, the sound competition and the show and shine happening at the same time. This will make it a great show rather than waiting for events to happen. “
Senft says you don’t have to be a car freak to enjoy the event.
“It’s more of a like-minded event, even if you’re not in the cars. People love it because we offer rides and all that. It doesn’t look fast when you look at it, but when you walk in it’s pretty wild.
Don’t expect to see Senft in his Nissan drifting down the course, however. She is a self-proclaimed show and shine queen.
“I am the person of the show. I like my car, and I like it a bit. I was in Edmonton [recently], and I won the show and shine for my category, so I’m excited to bring her back.
