Retro cars show up for the funeral procession
Stonehouse Motor Club enthusiasts paid tribute to late president Rick Neale
A motorcade of retro cars followed the hearse of a deceased Gloucestershire man who was “a good friend to many”.
Rick Neale, 59, died earlier this month after a short battle with cancer.
He was born in 1962 and was a loving husband and father of three.
During his lifetime he became president of the Enthusiasts Motor Club of Stonehouse (EMCOS) and a committee member of the Stroud and District Motor Club.
Members of EMCOS followed Rick’s hearse in their retro cars through Minchinhampton en route to his funeral today (Friday July 23).
The group wrote a farewell message for Rick, he said: “It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Rick Neale EMCOS President passed away on Saturday after a short battle with cancer.
“He has been an integral part of EMCOS for more years than I can remember and has been an enthusiastic competitor and president. And a great friend to many.
“His family asked his friends to drive their rally cars to the funeral.
“Rest in peace Rick.” “
The procession started at Minchinhampton Common and ended at Gloucester Crematorium.
