Pioneer Twin-Turbo destroys everything on the Strip, even Hellcat 8 seconds
Aside from a dual-turbo setup, we also spot a bunch of cooling mods, four-corner drag radials, plus a chute in the back like any self-respecting drag strip brawler would. On paper, there’s no production car on Earth that can go a quarter-mile as fast as this Chevy SUV. Even the Chiron is almost a second slower.
Fortunately, there are plenty of tuned vehicles out there that would love to get up to speed. Of those you’re about to look at, only a handful really gave the Trailblazer a decent run for its money. One of the Camaros ran a 9.94 at the Trailblazer time of 9.09 – not exactly close, but at least they were both in the 9s.
The navigation went smoothly until the Trailblazer faced off against a Dodge Charger Hellcat tuned by Whipple, which turned out to be a fitting main event as both cars raced in the 8s.
That Hellcat would have beaten the Trailblazer’s previous times if it hadn’t gone even faster. In the end, the Dodge completed the quarter mile in 8.97 seconds at 155.49 mph (250.23 km / h), while the main protagonist had a superb run of 8.65 seconds at 151.5 mph (243.81 mph). We suspect, however, that the Hellcat would have won over a longer distance.
