Kitten rescued from Nissan Rogue engine bay after highway exit

Now is the time of year when animals love to hide from the winter cold, and sometimes they choose cars as a warm sanctuary. We found out the hard way with our long-range Hyundai Palisade, but here’s a much happier story.
Brought to our attention by Jalopnik, a rogue little kitten has just been rescued from a Nissan Rogue. The little guy was in the car for a while on the freeway when those in the car started hearing tiny screams. So, like everyone else, they stopped.
It was at this point in history that the Bear Creek Township Fire and Rescue Service in Pennsylvania came to the rescue. Firefighters located the kitten stuck in the car’s engine compartment and proceeded to dismantle what needed to be removed in order to get the kitten out of the car. From the image posted on the Fire Department’s Facebook page, we know that at least the front bumper cover has been removed. In total, the removal work took about an hour and a half.
And look at the happy little kitten! The family that drove the Rogue eventually adopted the cat, later posting a photo of the freshly washed kitten wrapped in a dress – so this story has a extremely happy ending.
