Hines and Krawiec back in action on NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle

After two races spent on the sidelines as Team Manager for Team Principal Driver Angelle Sampey, six-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Champion Andrew Hines and four-time Series Champion Eddie Krawiec will return to active competition at starting this weekend at the NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta. . The pair will play the remainder of the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series season alongside Sampey, herself the three time series champion.
âIt was difficult to stay away from the start of the 2021 NHRA season,â Hines said. âNot having a helmet on the start line was a weird feeling, but Eddie and I had our hands full at the RDC (Vance & Hines Racing Development Center). It was important to the company that we launched our two new racing engines and the components that our customers need. When we went to the NHRA events in Florida and Nevada it was great to see our engines perform, but I really wanted to grab my gear and be on the track.
âWe both felt like fish out of water,â Krawiec added, echoing Andrew’s thoughts. âAs cool as it may be to create two new engines for the racing community, it’s even more exciting to be on the track using the new V-twin engine.
In February, Vance & Hines announced the development of a new Suzuki-based drag racing engine, which debuted at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida. Two weeks ago, the company also announced its new V-twin engine, which will be available for teams on the Pro Stock Motorcycle teams.
âThere is no better example of the importance of running in our work,â said Vance & Hines President Mike Kennedy. âAndrew and Eddie are helping create and launch two of our most important new products, and now they’ll be on the track using them at the highest level of drag racing. No other company has the talent and experience that we do at Vance & Hines. “
Hines and Krawiec will ride motorcycles equipped with Vance & Hines’ recently announced VH160VT engine and NHRA approved Buell 1190RX bodywork.
