Harrisburg Police’s director of community relations brought the town together, rallying to raise funds for the family of 4-year-old Noraa Wilson, who died after being hit by a car, according to GoFundMe.
Noraa Wilson died after being hit by a car on her way home from the D&L convenience store with her 9-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister at the intersection of Herr and North 15th streets on Monday around 5 p.m. Daily Voice previously reported.
Harrisburg Police Blake Lynch has started a GoFundMe campaign for Wilson’s family, whose brother was injured in the crash.
Noraa’s older brother and sister are recovering from their physical injuries and also need grief counseling to recover from the mental side of this tragedy, according to the GoFundMe campaign page.
The community came together and in less than 48 hours, they raised over $ 12,500.
The family thanks the entire community for mobilizing to exceed the goal of $ 7,500. They raised enough to cover funerals and family support services.
They ask that you continue to be kept in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Noraa is survived by her mother, her father and was the youngest of six children.
