Fireworks mark 4th of July celebration at Kalamazoo Speedway
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI – Kalamazoo Speedway raced up Independence Day with a celebration, the ‘Merica 200 Compact FWD Enduro’ event on Sunday, July 3.
The crowd cheered and cheered for a night full of motors and races. The packed race night featured Street Stocks, MCR Dwarf Cars and the Midwest Dirt Compacts. Alongside the races were other exciting events, such as the Stacker Cars and the Bumper Bash Derby.
In the “Stacker Car” race, a pair or racers worked together to control their vehicle, which was two cars stacked on top of each other. The driver of the top car had the steering wheel while the driver of the bottom car had the gas and the brakes. And the Bumper Bash Derby was just your usual demolition derby, cars slamming into each other to be the last to run.
To top it all off, everyone rolled their eyes as Kalamazoo Speedway threw a fireworks display to ring in Independence Day.
