SIOUX CITY — The Fort Dodge baseball team did exactly what head coach Blake Utley wanted them to do Friday night.
A day after losing a tough doubleheader to Des Moines Roosevelt, the Dodgers (11-17 overall) bounced back with a 9-5 victory.
“I thought our guys showed up and were focused,” Utley said. “They played with confidence. »
Carson Peterson and Landen Hout led the Dodgers to home plate.
Peterson had three doubles and drove in a run. Hout was 3 for 4 with two RBIs.
Dalton Rosalez, Drew Moritz and Ty Adams each had two hits.
The Dodgers’ seven-to-nine hitters had six of the team’s 12 hits.
Eli Elsbecker took the win in four runs of work. Royce Pederson earned the stoppage, not allowing a hit in three innings.

The Dodgers are back in action Monday when they host Ames in a doubleheader.
