Conservative figures will speak at a 3-day border security rally this weekend in McAllen

McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — A three-day border security rally is set to be held this weekend in the South Texas border town of McAllen and is raising concern among some local citizens.
The “We Stand America” rally is scheduled for Friday through Sunday and is organized by several conservative anti-illegal immigration groups, including Women Fighting for America, Veterans for America First and Latinos for Trump, according to Women Fighting For America. website.
The rally is part of a “Take Action Tour” and will focus on border law enforcement, which organizers describe as “the essence of homeland security”. There will also be a “rolling car protest at the border” on Sunday, the website says.
“The McAllen, Texas event will focus on border law enforcement and the direct link to election integrity from a biblical worldview,” according to the We Stand America website.
Most of the speakers listed are from out of town, including former Acting U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan, who served under President Donald Trump, and Gen. retired Michael Flynn. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller is also listed as a speaker.
Admission fees start at $10, and there are opportunities to sponsor military veterans and optional “caravan” tours at the border on Saturdays. The event will be based at Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, according to the Payne Arena website.
Hidalgo is a few miles from McAllen and borders the Mexican town of Reynosa.

Scott Nicol of McAllen said he was concerned about the gathering and gathering of many people from outside the area who openly oppose immigration.
