Boris Johnson’s passionate Rangers rallying call in full as PM thanks Ibrox club for ‘flying the flag’
BORIS JOHNSON has sent a personal message of luck to Rangers ahead of tonight’s Europa League final.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to share a video message as he recounted his pride in the club’s achievements after moving up from Scottish football’s Third Division.
He said: “I wish Rangers good luck in tonight’s Europa League final.
“A lot has happened at the club since the last time you had a game like this looking forward to it.
“So it’s a fantastic reward for the dedication of the fans through thick and thin.
“And it’s always great for British sport and for the UK as a whole to see our great teams performing on the biggest stages.

“So whatever happens on the pitch, I couldn’t be happier to see you flying the flag in Spain.
“And I know you’ll make us all proud. Good luck.”
The Prime Minister also wished the Ibrox club well at the start of today’s PMQ.
Speaking at the start of the session, the Prime Minister told members: “MPs across the aisle will want to join me in offering our best wishes to Rangers for tonight’s game in Sevilla.”
Keir Starmer also used the start of his contribution to send well wishes to the team, with the Labor leader telling MPs it has been “quite an amazing story over the past few years” for Rangers.
